Benjamin Scott Folds is an American singer-songwriter, songwriter, composer, and record producer. The Folds was the lead and pianist of the rock band that replaced Ben Folds Five from 1993 to 2000, and again in the early 2010s when they reunited. Besides the band, Folds has recorded a number of albums and performed live as a solo artist. He has also collaborated with musicians such as William Shatner, Regina Spektor, "Weird Al" Yankovic and yMusic and has done experimental composition projects with writers such as Nick Hornby and Neil Gaiman. He regularly performs his musical arrangements with unusual instruments, including the symphony orchestra and a cappella group. In addition to contributing music to the soundtrack of the Hoodwinked! Animated movies, and Over the Hedge, Folds has produced a number of albums, including Amanda Palmer's first solo album. Folds served as a judge in NBC's The Sing-Off a cappella from 2009 to 2013.
