Tisha Michelle Campbell is an American actress, singer and dancer. Born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and raised in New Jersey, she made her screen debut when she appeared in the 1986 rock comedy Little Shop of Horrors and then starred in the comedy comedy film Briefly Rags to NBC Rich. Campbell has appeared in films such as School Daze, Rooftops, Another 48 Hrs., Boomerang, and Sprung. She received the Independent Mental Award for Best Woman nomination for her performance in the 1990 comedy House Party, then starred in both of its sequels; House Party 2 and House Party 3. On television, Campbell played Gina Waters-Payne in the Fox comedy series Martin from 1992 to 1997 and Janet "Jay" Marie Johnson-Kyle in the comedy series My Wife and Kids., For which she received the NAACP Image Award for Best Actress in a Comedy. She went on to have regular roles in Rita Rocks, The Protector and Dr. Ken.
